How To Organize Madden 11 Tournaments For Friends
The Madden NFL syndicate is a huge outfit in the video game market. This is one of the most popular EA Sports release, be it in the XBox 360 version, Playstation, Nintendo or the PC version. It is awaited for eagerly throughout the world. Madden 11 tournaments are held throughout America and they have enthusiastic participants of various age groups. If you are thinking of hosting one of them, there are certain things you have to be aware of.
Not all of these contests are played for reward money and monetary prizes. Some are held unofficially between friends, playing for fun. However, for tournaments and for contests held on television, the reward is substantially more. The top notch, experienced players take part in these and take game play seriously to win the top spot.
Any competition is credible only if fairness is assured in the proceedings and the selection of the winner. There is not a set a of standardized rules that have to be adhered to. However, most of these events follow more or less the same basic rules. If you are hosting a competition, ensure that it is fair and that all the players stick to the common rules. One of the main rules is that on no account is a player supposed to bring his own console or controller. This is ensured so that tampering can be eliminated and all the players can start off on a level playing field. If there are any hints of tampering, either with software or hardware, you should immediately report it to the referee and punish the player. In such cases, the player is usually booted off the event. Referees have present in these competitions to ensure fairness and to supervise game play. They have a variety of roles. They oversee the play and also the conduct of the players. They also need to oversee player dress code.
The referee holds the power to rule on the appropriate moment to pause the play. They should have excellent technical knowledge to spot any tampering or attempts at tampering. Sometimes, the glitches in the game may give some players undue advantage over others. The referee should be able to recognize this and put a stop to this. Other basics a host should be aware of are a zero tolerance policy is practiced with regard to abuse of referee. Be it verbal or physical abuse, the player has to be ousted to set an example for the other players. Also, no player should communicate with spectators while gaming. This is, again, to preempt any funny business. Headsets are not allowed. Damage of equipment also attracts penalty.
Any attempts to 'fix' the game are dealt with severely by expulsion. Madden 11 tournaments guidelines also depend on the kind of tournament it is. If it is a low profile unofficial game between friends or huge international events, and whether they are played live or online. The rules may also have other stipulations like difficulty, quarter period and speed of the game. Depending on the number of players, the duration of play can vary.

If EA Sports Calls, Don't Answer
The release of Madden 11 will be one of the most hyped and anticipated events in 2010. For more than 20 years, this franchise has been an undeniably big hit. Every year, the EA Sports team visits the NFL draft in order to get head-shots of the new players in their new uniforms as soon as possible. Television programs pitting some of the most talented Madden NFL players in tournaments are shown around the world. You may have also heard the term "Madden Holiday"...and it just goes to show how incredibly popular it has become.
For all the good that comes with the hype and hysteria of Madden NFL, there is a downfall to the game's yearly release. For the 12 years Madden has been boasing an annual cover athlete, those athletes chosen seem to either play poorly that year, or suffer serious and season-ruining injury.
In the first week of the 2009 season, the Madden curse had already reared it's ugly head. Madden 10 was the first one to feature two cove athletes instead of just one. Troy Polomalu was shown head-to-head with a man he covered in Super Bowl XLIII; Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals. In the Steelers' first regular season game, and Troy Polomalu's first after being put on the cover of Madden 10, he injured his ankle while blocking a field goal. He didn't return.
One would imagine teams and players would have learned their lesson by now. Athletes are notoriously superstitious, and next time Madden comes a callin', most would be better off to just decline. If you don't believe in it yet, just take a look at all the historical evidence of a very real "Madden Curse.".
The History of the Madden Curse:
2002: After making it to the NFC with the Vikings in 2000, quaerterback Daunte Culpepper missed the final five games of the 2001 season (after being fatured on the cover) leading his team to a record of 5-11.
2003: Marking the beginning of the end of the "Greatest Show On Turf", Marshall Faulk of the Rams failed to rush for 1,000 yards in the 2001 season (for the first time since 1996) following his appearance on the cover of Madden 03 and his subsequent nagging ankle injury.
2004: The Madden Curse struck for the third year in a row in 2003, when star QB Michael Vick missed the entire season due to a fractured fibula he got in a preseason game.
2006: Donovan McNabb was featured on the cover of Madden 06, and in week one of the 2005 season, you guessed it, Donovan McNabb suffered a hernia. It plagued ihim all season, and he eventually missed the last 7 games of the season.
That's the history of the curse. So, what will happen to this year's cover star?
